Gullen Range Wind Farm
The largest wind farm in New South Wales, Australia.
Gullen Range Wind Farm (GRWF) is located approximately 40km north of Goulburn, in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. The project consists of 73 wind turbines (56 x GW100/2.5MW and 17 x GW82/1.5MW) with a generating capacity of 165.5MW. The first wind turbine became operational in December 2013. The wind farm supplies, on average, 56,500 NSW homes with renewable energy every year.
The wind farm is broadly split into two sites, with Bannister in the North (32 turbines) and Gurrundah in the South (41 turbines). GRWF utilises Goldwind’s advanced PMDD technology. Goldwind’s role in the project includes ownership (25% ownership, with Beijing and Jingneng Clean Energy (Hong Kong) Co. holding 75%), development, construction, operation and maintenance.
